Each class has a representative on the school council. All the children that would like to represent the class give a one minute speech. They are voted for by the whole class. The representatives from Year 5/6 take turns in running the meetings and writing the minutes.
Over the last few years the school council have helped in the school decision making process for example the design of rules for playtime, deciding on covers for the school reading diaries, choosing the large play equipment for the play trail and even the photographs for this web site.
